On Saturday March 5 2011 an experiment to see if it is actually possible to float a house with helium balloons took place, at dawn, a team of scientists, engineers and two world-class balloon pilots successfully launched a 16' X 16' house 18' tall with 300 weather balloons from a private airfield east of Los Angeles. It flew to 10,000 feet!
