I know this picture is old, and the installation is dated, ie. gone, but I think it is important that we do not forget the cheap thrills that come with cool art. I mean it, we are a generation that thrives on change and can only understand things if it seems to be in motion. We have developed a society of ambient awareness and of constant change and this is a good thing. But we tend to forget about the recent past because of the simple fact that it is the past. The sub culture, well probably main stream culture by now, that has popped up of vintage crap seems to be a reflex in the face of a constantly changing, in the name of progress, environment. So I feel that I can serve a purpose to help find a middle ground and keep us moving forward rather then reverting to vintage crap. I feel that if one were to recall the useful things that inspire, and bring those forward, then the need for a total revert can be absolved. And so I give you: From somewhere in Washington DC
