This week's design wank has all the makings that are required to be a Design Wank - stupid pun name along with useless and ill thought out. And this is coming from me, who inflicted the 'coaster coaster' on the world.
It is call 'ring-o-star' and is a coffee holder for your bike handlebars. How wanky is that? Oh look at me I'm cycling to work and while I stop at the traffic lights I'm going to sip my morning coffee. No. More likely HOLY FUCKING SHIT I JUST WENT OVER A BUMP AND NOW MY HANDS HAVE BEEN SCOLDED.

Is this cup holder next?
I think this is a great idea. If you had a reusable mug it wouldn't really scald your hands. A lot of people bike to work and would probably love something like this. Of course, you may forget that most bikes have a little holster for a water bottle that would suffice for holding coffee as well.
maybe we should buy one for 22GL and test it?
I don't see the problem if you're using a travel cup with a sliding cover for the sipping hole. If you've just ordered an extra tall triple low-fat soy latte and try to use this, well, then you're three sorts of fool, I guess.
